East Fall Line Region SAR members attend Ebenezer

On Labor Day, September 5, 2022, several members of the EFLR SAR traveled to Ebenezer to participate in the annual "Heritage Day Festival" at Historic Ebenezer. This event is held each year with food, crafts, exhibits, demonstrations, activities and all are welcome with free admission. The Event is proudly presented by the Georgia Salzburger Society and the Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rincon, GA.


EFLR chapters participating in this year's event was Brier Creek, Wiregrass, Little River, and the Henry Laurens Chapter of the SAR South Carolina. Those members are Steve Burke, Tommy Chappell, Ted Walker, Neil Flanagan, Woody Woodard, Alton Reynolds, Jerry Lawson, Don Bazemore, Bernard Martin, John Joyner, Emory Fennell, Ben Creech, Alton McCloud, and not in photo is Allen Mincey & Lee Herron.


Allen Mincey and his wife Stacy talked with the crowd and did some public education about the revolution. Starting at 10:00 and on each hour with the last being 2:00, our Brier Creek militia fired a 3-round volley with our flintlocks and the Brier Creek Artillery fired a 3-round volley with our 3 cannons followed on the 2:00 volley with Compatriot Don Bazemore playing taps on his bugle.
