ECI Bulldog headed to play at next level

February 4 was a special day for one Emanuel County Institute Bulldog. Kris Jackson, surrounded by his family, coaches, teachers, teammates, and friends, signed a National Letter of Intent to play football at Albany State University.
Jackson, #2 for the Bulldogs, was listed on this year’s football roster as a tight end/defensive end. His head coach, Chris Kearson, had this to say about him:
“Kris Jackson, first and foremost, is a great person. He’s very conscientious about his academics and always has been. On the field, he has a very high football IQ and was able to do more than just play the game. He could decipher opponent tendencies and plays regularly. I look for him to exceed at whatever he puts his mind to at Albany State. We’re pulling for him and can’t wait to see him succeed on and off the field.”
He will graduate in May with the Class of 2022 and will join the Rams this fall.
