ECI Class of ’23 sets course for the future

Many Emanuel County Institute seniors are choosing to continue their education to head into medicine, construction, business or to join the armed forces. Quite a few have also laid out detailed 5-10 year plans to help them set a course. Here’s a glimpse of the road ahead.

Melvin Carlos Akridge plans to continue working at American Steel. In 5 to 10 years he sees himself working in welding.

Natalie Faith Akridge plans to attend East Georgia State College to complete her core classes and then transfer to University of Georgia to pursue a Veterinary Degree. In 5 to 10 years she sees herself graduating college and starting her own vet clinic.

Tyler Keith Alexander plans to go straight into the workforce after graduation. In 5 to 10 years he sees himself in either business management or being a caretaker.

Jacey Abilene Allen plans to attend Ogeechee Technical College and go into the Veterinary Technician Program. In 5 to 10 years her goal is to work in a veterinary hospital and take advantage of every opportunity to learn and grow.

Bailey Jade Arnold plans to attend East Georgia State College and finish her General Associates Degree. Upon graduation, she plans to attend Georgia Southern University and pursue a degree in Early Childhood Education to become a 3rd grade teacher. In 5 to 10 years she sees herself being a teacher.

Caleb Matthew Avery plans to attend Southeastern Technical College for Commercial and Residential Wiring and eventually become a self-employed Licensed Electrician.

Bryson Curtis Barrett plans to attend Brewton-Parker College to play golf.

Anna Kate Beasley plans to continue her education at East Georgia State College and transfer to Georgia Southern University to major in Business Administration and continue growing her small business Monograms by Kate.

Chiara Dequesta Boatwright plans on joining the Marines. In 5 to 10 years she sees herself working in the technology or business field

Sullee Ann Boddiford plans to attend Georgia Southern University and major in Sports Communications/Journalism to become an ESPN Sideline Reporter. In 5 to 10 years she sees herself working as a sideline reporter for ESPN.

Mariah Elizabeth Monique Boyd plans to attend Albany State University for four years and pursue a degree in nursing. In 5 to 10 years she hopes to work as a Travel Nurse.

Gartrell Bernard Brown plans on going into the military. In 5 to 10 years he sees himself working for the Marines.

Jamese Shaiquane Budgett plans to attend Ogeechee Technical College and get a degree in Cosmetology. In 5 to 10 years she sees herself working as a Cosmetologist.

Landen Miles Canady plans to attend East Georgia State College to finish up his Associates Degree and then transfer to UGA to finish whatever major he settles on. In 5 to 10 years he sees himself working in a career of Physical Therapy or Cybersecurity.

Tybrivious Cornelious Charles plans to join the military

Charla Grace Clifton plans to attend Georgia Southern University and pursue a degree in Nursing. In 5 to 10 years she sees herself working as a trauma nurse.

Dustin Russell Colter plans to join the workforce after graduation.

John Joseph I’bnn Conner plans to attend Coastal Pines Technical College and pursue a career as a Lineman.

India Unquie Daughtry plans on going to college to get her associate degree for business management. In 5 to 10 years she hopes to start at least 2 big businesses of her own.

Damien McKenzie Davis plans to attend Mercer University and pursue a degree in Civil Engineering. In 5 to 10 years he sees himself working in a Civil Engineering job.

Timothy Ka’Tavais Dobson plans to go to East Georgia and then transfer to a larger college to play football.

Jacob Odie Durden plans to play baseball at East Georgia State College and major in Marine Biology.

Shamya Lakita Edmond plans to join the workforce immediately after graduation. In 5 to 10 years she sees herself owning her own business.

Jada La’Shaye Evins plans to attend Paine College and will be pursuing a degree in nursing. In 5 to 10 years she plans on working as a Labor and Delivery Nurse.

Brack Michael Fagler plans to attend a technical school and attain his CDL. IN 5 to 10 years he sees himself working as a truck driver.

Cierra Dijonay Fann plans to become a cosmetologist and open her own shop.

LaHarry Renardo Carlton Farnum plans on attending University of West Georgia on a football scholarship and getting a degree in business while minoring in Sports Management. In 5 to 10 years he hopes to own his own business as a Professional Athlete Manager.

Taylor Rae Flakes plans to attend Georgia Southern University to obtain a BSN, in hopes of becoming a Labor and Delivery RN. In 5 to 10 years she sees herself working the medical field in 5 to 10 years.

Sara Jane Fordham plans on attending Southern Technical College and pursuing a degree in welding. In 5 to 10 years she sees herself being a welder with a well-known company.
