ECI FALLS TO METTER

Last Friday night was a wet, cold and overall miserable night.

The Bulldogs had trouble getting any movement against the bigger Metter D-line.

As well as the usual big playmakers for the Bulldogs having absolutely no room to make a play, the Tigers broke off chunk runs throughout the game. Even when behind the sticks, Metter seemed to have an answer for everything and quieted the usually physical and fast ECI defense. It actually looked as if Metter had more than 11 players on the field defensively due to their ability to consistently shed blocks and fly to the ball.

Even though the Bulldogs had an off night in Metter, they still have all their team goals ahead of them with the playoffs beginning this week.

ECI plays host to the Terrell County Green Wave on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. The Green Wave is 6-2 on the year after beating Seminole County last Friday night, 14-13.

With the Dawgs from Athens getting started at 3:30 p.m., there’s time to watch the game and come out to support ECI later. Playoff games for the most part means teams records don’t matter. Every game is win or go home.

ECI has a strong football team and at home with fan support are a tough team to beat. Kickoff is Saturday at 5 p.m.

Have a blessed week and go Dawgs!
