ECI FBLA celebrates members with awards ceremony

ECI’s FBLA chapter gathered on May 4 to honor outstanding members in an end-of-year awards program held in the cafeteria at the school.

The evening kicked off with dinner catered by Simply Southern.

After the meal, Stefanie Mason, Emanuel County Schools’ CTAE director, delivered the keynote address. In that address, she discussed the importance of building a résumé, mentioning two good ways to do so: joining a CTSO (career-technical student organization) and participating in community service.

Next, FBLA officers enlightened the crowd about the various conferences members attended this year. Jessica Smith, adviser, then presented awards to outstanding students who have excelled in competitions throughout the year.

Officers Catarina Wilson, Andrea Pullen, Kati-Brooke Hooks, Taylor Radford, Breana Librizzi, Destiny Akridge, Alaya Hudson, Lily Kate Robertson, along with Smith, conducted the ceremony.

Special guests included Mason, Emanuel County Board of Education member Tanya Lane, Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Learning Mrs. Toni Terwilliger, ECI Principal Anetria Edenfield, and ECI Assistant Principal Brooke Frye.
