ECI FBLA holds drive for Weekend Blessings

Emanuel County Institute’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter recently held a pretzel drive for Weekend Blessings.

The fundraiser encouraged students to bring in bags of pretzels, and the homeroom that collected the most would be treated to a party.

On April 28, students were allowed to donate money to purchase pretzels in exchange to dress down for the day.

The school collected 340 bags of pretzels and raised more than $360. Melissa Beasley’s class collected 125 bags.

There are currently 225 students being served by Weekend Blessings in Emanuel County. Thanks to the drive, each student will receive three bags of pretzels for summer break.

If you are looking for ways to get involved with Weekend Blessings, contact Mylie Rose Lane, ECI FBLA’s community service projects chairman, at mileylane@emanuel.k12.ga.us or ECI FBLA advisor Jessica Smith at jhsmith@emanuel.k12.ga.us.
