ECI, SHS all-region baseball selections announced

With their respective 2022 seasons now completed, varsity baseball players from both Emanuel County Institute and Swainsboro High School have been named to various all-region teams. The honors came out last week.

Making the cut for the Bulldogs were one senior (Joseph Stewart), two sophomores (Hudson Henry and Jack Walden), and two juniors (Bryce Kearson and Lawson Mercer).

Kearson and Walden made first team while Stewart, Henry, and Mercer made second team.

Swainsboro’s selectees included one junior (River Green), two seniors (Harrison Jones and Kaleb Edenfield), and three sophomores (Lenox Lively, Brandon Chapman, and Caden Dailey).

Lively and Green represented the Tigers on the first team, and Jones, Edenfield, Chapman, and Dailey were all part of the second team.

Look for information about all-state honors in the next few weeks.

Athletes are selected for all-region and all-state based on votes from coaches in each region.
