ECI smokes Lincoln County for first win

The Bulldogs went down to Lincoln County and it was business as usual. No matter who you play or where you play them at, you have to have the same focus and bring that same intensity every Friday night. The Bulldogs kept the focus and strolled to a big victory behind a great offensive and defensive performance, just an all-around well played game and the final score was 41-27.
This was a two way offensive attack behind QB Bryce Kearson and RB P.J. Farnum and they were simply impresseive. Farnum ran for 185 yards and three touchdowns while receiving for 39 yards and a touchdown. Kearson was phenomenal as well, going 9-13 passing with 110 yards and a touchdown.
The defense played tremendous and kept them ahead the whole game with a comfortable lead. Some of the key players on defense were Hudson Henry with ten tackles and Gabe Lee with nine.
Head Coach Chris Kearson said, “We’re still a long way from where we need to be but I’m proud of our kids and their effort. Adversity is always around the corner and we faced it in the 1st quarter when our TE Jack Walden went down with a shoulder injury. Our kids collected themselves, we moved some people around and got back to work. We’ll work hard this week to clean up mistakes and get ready for a dang good Dublin team.”
As Coach Kearson mentioned, they head to Dublin to take on a good football team at 7:30 P.M, September 9th.
