ECI Softball holds annual softball camp

Another year, another camp for the ECI softball team. This is a five-day event held annually for young girls to come out and get coached and encouraged by the players and coaches with coaches from colleges in attendance as well. Along with the practicing and teamwork drills the campers also compete in events.

There were four competitions divided into three age groups. The first competition was a team event called the base-running relay and there were winning groups in all age divisions. The other three were individual and consisted of the “Rifle Competition”, “Rapid Fire Competition”, and the “Home-Run Derby”.

The winners of the “Rifle Competition” were- 8U Analeigh Scarborough, 10U Ansley Frye, and 12U Hadleigh Henry. The winners of the “Rapid Fire Competition” were- 8U Ayla Marsh, 10U Anna Grace Scarborough and 12U Brodee Cate Johnson. The winners of the “Home-Run Derby” were- 8U Anna Caroline (AC) Frye, 10U Ansley Frye and 12U Izzy Baird.
