ECI students advance to National Beta Convention

Emanuel County Institute’s Junior Beta Club will be represented at nationals following the group’s successful participation in the virtual Georgia Junior Beta Convention held in December.

The following Junior Beta members from ECI placed in the top five and received an invitation to compete at National Beta Convention this June at Disney’s Swan and Dolphin Resort: Erin Stanford, Allie Rigdon, Aubrey Hudson, Davis Johnson, Lola Walden, MaryKatherine Durden, Grayson Thompson, Abbey Marsh, Wesley Snellgrove, Janna Scott, Mylie Rose Lane, Aaron Matthews, Lauren Bedgood, Oisin Matthews, Mattie Cochran, and Aaralyn Grimes.

At the state convention, Standford took first in Solo Performance. Rigdon took first in Painting. Hudson, won third in Digital Art. Johnson, Walden, Durden, and Thompson won third in Group Performance. Marsh and Snellgrove finished fifth in Technology. Scott took fifth in Speech. Lane, Aaron Matthews, and Bedgood saw a fifth place finish in Learning Project. Oisin Matthews, Cochran, Scott, and Grimes took fifth in Quiz Bowl.

ECI Junior Beta also received the G.O.L.D. Key Award for convention attendance.
