ECS Half Day Thursday, Out Friday for Tigers Championship Game

PER EMANUEL COUNTY SCHOOLS:

"An unscheduled early dismissal is set for Emanuel County Schools on Thursday, December 8, 2022.

The early dismissal is in response to Swainsboro High School’s football team traveling a long distance to Atlanta for their State Championship game, which impacts afternoon bus routes. The game will start at 8:00 p.m. and will be held at Georgia State University's Stadium. The physical address is 755 Hank Aaron Dr SE, Atlanta, GA 30315-1120.

Additionally, we want to allow for students, families, and staff to have time to travel safely to the game. All students that bring proof of participation will be excused from school on Thursday, December 8, 2022.

Primary and elementary schools will release at 12:00 p.m. We will feed a sack lunch. Staff members will be allowed to leave at 12:30 pm once buses have cleared the campus.

Middle schools and high schools will release at 12:30 p.m. We will feed a sack lunch. Staff members will be allowed to leave at 1:00 pm once buses have cleared the campus.

We will not have school on Friday December 9, 2022."
