ECSO Reports

Reports from Emanuel County Sheriff’s Office, under the leadership of Sheriff Jeffrey Brewer, are as follows:


Deputies responded to Falcon Trail to take a report of a suspicious person.


Deputies filed a report for a missing safe. The victim stated that the safe was at her residence on September 23rd, and missing on September 26th. There were no signs of forced entry, and nothing else in the residence was disturbed or missing.


Deputies responded to Canoochee Road in reference to a missing 10x20 storage shed.


Deputies took a report that stated the driver hit a large hog on Johnson Grove Church Road that caused disabling damage to the vehicle.


Deputies responded to Georgia Avenue in reference to a prowler. The victim stated that someone was outside of her window at night shining a flashlight. The suspect was not located.


Deputies responded to a domestic dispute between a mother and her adult son on NW Railroad Ave. Both parties were informed of the eviction process.


Deputies responded to Fairground Rd in response to a call stating that the victim was nearly bit by a neighbor’s dog. Upon arrival, deputies were met at their vehicles by a very aggressive dog. The dog had to be sprayed with pepper spray several times for officer safety. Another neighbor informed officers that his horse was bitten the night prior, likely by the aggressive dog. The owner was informed that the dog was off the leash.


Deputies took four separate reports this week for drivers hitting deer, each causing damage to the vehicles.
