EGSC athletes recognized by GCAA

Two athletes at East Georgia State College have been recognized by the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA).

Ashleigh Miles, a Lady Bobcat softball player, has been selected as Pitcher of the Week. She was 3-0 through 16 innings pitched with 11 strikeouts and just a 2.28 ERA. Miles also scored 14 runs (7 of which were earned) and walked seven times.

Baseball player Jayden Lopez was selected as Pitcher of the Week for the GCAA as well. He hurled 3.1 innings and picked up the win in his one game on the hill. He struck out six batters and had a 2.7 ERA. Lopez also picked up 2 hits and plated 1 (earned) run.
