EGSC Baseball goes 3-2 on the week

East Georgia State College baseball finished the week 3-2, getting back to one game from being at .500 for the year. After dropping the first two games of the week to USC Sumter, the Bobcats Rebounded quickly winning their first game last Friday against Cleveland St. 5-3 with the help from one of their leaders on the field. So. INF/ RHP Landry Mead (Georgia Southern Commit) vs. Cleveland St. Mead threw 7 innings giving up just 5H 3 ER and having 6 K’s. Mead also was 10-16 at the plate last week batting .625 and slugging .750 with 2 Doubles and 4 RBI’s.

In game two and three, the Bobcats came back in the bottom of the 7th, from three runs down to win both of those games. Winning pitchers in these games were Sophomore RHP Ben Medley of Atlanta in game two and Freshman RHP Harrison Rutherford of Treutlen County in game three; this was Rutherford’s first collegiate victory.
