EGSC baseball team moves up to fourth

The East Georgia State College baseball team won three of four games against Gordon State College this past week. The Bobcats’ victories were by scores of 9–3, 9–6, and 10–5 with one loss by a score of 11–7.

The Bobcats moved up in the standings to take fourth place in the conference with the three wins over Gordon. East Georgia looked to move in on the third place spot on Tuesday, April 19, when they played host to Andrew College on the baseball diamond.

The EGSC Lady Bobcats softball team fell to Georgia Military College on the road on Friday by scores of 3–0 and 12–4. With these losses to GMC, the team gave up the first place ranking in the conference for the first time since the beginning of the season back in February. The Lady Bobcats looked to retake the lead in the conference when they played host to ABAC on Tuesday at Bobcat Field.

Look for results from the baseball team’s game against Andrew College and the softball team’s game against ABAC in next week’s Chronicle.
