Elizabeth Hare, 74

Memorial services for Elizabeth Hare, 74 of Swainsboro, were held Monday, June 14, 2021 at 3 p.m. at Dellwood Baptist Church with Friend John Brett officiating. She passed away Saturday, June 12, 2021 at her home following an extended illness.

Mrs. Elizabeth Hare was born September 14, 1946 in Huntington, West Virginia to the late Henry R. Saunders and Clover Pauline Morrison Saunders. She enjoyed music, singing, and playing the piano. She also loved her church and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Hare enjoyed riding her motorcycle and adventures of being a truck driver. She lived an adventurous life and had a great sense of humor. A member of Dellwood Baptist Church, she was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, David Saunders.

Survivors include her husband, Lawrence Hare of Swainsboro; son, Steve (Tina) Roth of Dover, Ohio; daughter, Amy Blalock of Swainsboro; brothers, Joe Saunders, Mark Saunders, and Jim Saunders, all of Ohio; sisters, Nancy Lawrence of Illinois, Sue Saunders of Oklahoma, as well as Becky Hill, Sarah Collins, Carol McCartney, all of Ohio; grandchildren, Amanda Blalock, Mason Blalock, Cheyenne Blalock, Ben Roth, and Nick Roth; great-grandchildren, Jazzalyn Jackson, Abbigail Hernandez, Ezra Roth, Knox Roth; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro was in charge of the arrangements.
