Emanuel Medical Center receives Five star rating
The Emanuel Medical Center has been named a Five Star Quality Rated Hospital by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) in 2022. Only six hospitals in Georgia and 429 hospitals nationwide out of 3,093 hospitals evaluated were awarded the highest rating. In addition to the 429 five-star recipients, 192 hospitals received a one-star, 692 received two-stars, 890 received three-stars, and 890 received four-stars.
The overall star rating summarizes quality information related to a variety of measures within the following five groups: mortality, safety of care, readmission, patient experience, and timely and effective care.
Emanuel County Hospital administrator Damien Scott had this to say about this distinction, “The CMS 5-Star rating is a reflection of the hard work that the Emanuel Medical Center team has put into providing high quality healthcare to our community. The citizens of Emanuel County should be very proud to have one of the top hospitals in Georgia right here near home.”
The Crossroads Chronicle would like to extend congratulations to Emanuel County Hospital administration and staff in receiving this honor. We are very fortunate to have this facility in our county and appreciate the hard work and dedication every employee puts forth each day.
