EREA to resume in-person meetings

Big news for the Emanuel Retired Educators Association! According to President Bobbie Daughtry, the organization will meet in person for 2021-2022, starting with its first meeting on September 15. This year will also mark the 50th anniversary of the local association. Consequently, plans are underway for a yearlong celebration that will culminate with a banquet luncheon on May 18, 2022.

Planning the events are Secretary Dr. John Derden, Legislative and Necrology Chairman Carolyn Derden, Past President Elease Turner, President-Elect Jean Schwabe, and President Daughtry. Officers not pictured include Treasurer Lena Nwadudu, Membership Chairman Lynn Torrance, and Constitution and By-laws Chairman Donald Jenkins.
