Ever Wild to soft launch this weekend

For wild and free fashionistas of any age, Ever Wild Boutique in downtown Swainsboro has something for everybody. Owners Tanisha Dorsey and her daughter, Sydney, are putting the finishing touches on their years-long dream project. The new boutique will launch a soft opening March 18 and March 19, followed by a grand opening March 24 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The mother-daughter duo started small when they opened an online boutique in 2019 and have gradually built an impressive following. Until April 2021, Ever Wild was called “Syd’s Southern Co.,” but the team rebranded as they began working pop-up events at pageants and festivals.

“I wanted the name to be something that was an accurate representation of my personality,” Sydney explained. “I’m a colorful person. I am vibrant and wild and free. I have always been that way and will always be that way. Ever Wild just fits.”

Ever Wild hosts local vendors as well as hand-picked selections from the owners. There is a wide mix of styles—young contemporary ‘fits for Sydney’s age demographic and also more mature fashion for Tanisha’s. There is men’s fashion as well. Ever Wild also carries a selection of bath and body products, candles, and jewelry, too.

The boutique is intended to provide a respite for small-town shoppers, providing accessible, versatile styles that are usually associated with the city. The store centers around classy fashion on a small-town budget.

Sydney, Tanisha, and friend Jamie Tanner have remodeled, renovated, and decorated their downtown rental on their own. They waited over a year to secure the location, so they had plenty of time to plan and test ideas. The entire process has been a fun bonding experience for mother and daughter.

“Putting it together has been fun. It’s a creative process,” Tanisha said. “Sydney has had ideas and a plan for everything for years. Now, it’s down to the wire, and we are tying up all the loose ends, which is a bit more stressful. Overall though, this has been fun for the both of us.

Sydney and Tanisha extend a warm welcome to those planning to attend their grand opening. They will have refreshments, gift card giveaways, and a storewide sale. Local vendors will run specials as well. Gift bags are available to the first 20 shoppers.

The ladies at Ever Wild hope to find a way to give back to their community. They plan to host an array of different events, like donation nights that give back a percentage of sales and food drives, in addition to partnering with foundations in the community.

“Because of support from our friends, family, and customers, we now get to own and operate our very own brick and mortar boutique in downtown Swainsboro,” Tanisha continued, “so we want to give back to the place that gave us our start.”

Ever Wild is located at 108 West Main Street in downtown Swainsboro. Check the company’s Facebook for updates at Ever Wild Boutique, and make plans today to join them for their soft opening and register to win a gift certificate Friday, March 18, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, March 19, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
