Evie Dell Pernell, 90

Mrs. Evie Dell Pernell, 90, of Kite passed away Friday, September 23, 2022, at her residence following an extended illness. Funeral services were held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 25, 2022, in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Reverend Burt Flanders officiating. The family received friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, September 24, 2022, at Chapman Funeral Home.

Born October 13, 1931, in Kite to John Cooper and Susie Kersey Cooper, Mrs. Pernell enjoyed yard sales, fishing, word puzzles, gardening, and her dogs. She was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Pernell was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Laudice Pernell; sons, J. L. Pernell, Gary Pernell, Dale Pernell, Arnold Pernell, Frank Pernell; daughters, JoAnn Hackle, Paula Roberts; brothers, Jay Copper, Jimmy Cooper; sisters, Thelma Cooper, Doris Williams.

She is survived by her daughters, Willaine Rowland (Harrison) and Beverly Gay (Glenn), both of Kite; 21 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nephews, and nieces.

Pallbearers were Chase Hackle, Landon Hackle, Dalton Dyal, Matthew Hackle, Dekota Braddy, and Michael Roberts.

Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro was in charge of the arrangements.
