Family Connection donates to schools

Emanuel County Family Connection recently donated to each kindergarten and first grade class at Swainsboro Primary School for a spring book surprise.

In the days leading up to spring break, which spanned last week, April 4 through April 8, each class opened a gift with a new book inside that was donated to each teacher’s homeroom library.

This project was sponsored by Family Connection and funded by Mill Creek Foundation.

Total, Family Connection wrapped 240 gifts for classroom libraries and 56 books (14 each) for the four individual drawing winners.

On Friday, April 1, prior to spring break, four students’ names were drawn to determine the winners of the reading gift baskets. These students were: Bryson Cross, Willow Rewis, Reginald Cuyler, and Piper Fields.
