On Monday, September 12, the Emanuel County Institute Future Business Leaders of America held its annual new member induction and officer installation ceremony. Mrs. Jessica Smith, Adviser, welcomed everyone to the ceremony and began to install the new officer team for the 2022-2023 school year.

The candle ceremony was an important part of the evening with each being lit by its prospective officer and the meaning of the candle and the officer's duties explained. Each new officer pledged to fulfill their duties and obligations to make ECI FLBA an even greater organization.

The new officers are Lily Robertson, president; Will Sasser and Ansley Moxley, vice president; Brailey Radford, public relations chairman; Blake Librizzi, service project chairman; Alaina Conley, reporter; Parker Frederick, historian; Nataleigh Belcher, secretary; and Wallee Kersey, sentinel. Following the new officers installation, all new members were welcomed into the organization.

The guest speaker of the night was Miss Calissa Mason. Ms. Mason is a 2018 graduate of ECI. While at ECI, she was a very active member of FBLA. She talked to members about the impact that Career Technical Student Organizations like FBLA had on her life. To conclude, the evening guest enjoyed a pizza dinner.
