Five defendants sentenced in superior court
Emanuel County Superior Court convened last week to continue addressing September cases. By the end of the convention, five men and women were sentenced.
Samantha Reese negotiated a guilty plea on one count of possession of methamphetamine and two counts of possession of drug related objects. Reese was sentenced to 3 years of probation.
Adam Vertis Mills negotiated a guilty pleas on one count of criminal damage to property in the second degree and one count of obstruction of an officer. Mills received 10 years to be served on probation. He also received a fine of $1,000.
Jahheme Kesean Miller negotiated a guilty plea on one count of possession of cocaine, one count of driving with a suspended license and one count of obstruction of an officer. Miller was sentenced to 3 years confinement and 12 months probation. He was fined $500.
Crystal Jordan negotiated a guilty plea on one count of aggravated assault and three counts of cruelty to children in the third degree. Jordan was sentenced to 10 years of probation and fined $50.
Justin Mark Driggers negotiated a guilty plea on one count of possession of methamphetamine, one count of obstruction of an officer, one count of giving false information. Driggers was sentenced to 3 years on probation. He was fined a total of $1,500.
