Fourteen defendants indicted by grand jury


An Emanuel County grand jury indicted 14 individuals last week. The April 2021 term saw the district attorney’s office present 14 bills of indictments for consideration, and the grand jury returned 13 true bills, along with 1 no bill.


Bobby Lee Parker was indicted on one count theft by taking.


In a separate case, Parker was indicted on one count possession of methamphetamine and one count suspended license.


Carlton Lee Daniels was indicted on one count aggravated assault, one count first-degree burglary, and one count criminal trespassing.


Demario Antoinio Lopez was indicted on one count possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, one count possession of drug-related objects, and one count speeding.


Sheena Vinette Huston was indicted on two counts first-degree vehicular homicide and one count serious injury by vehicle.


Jerry Armstrong III was indicted on one count fleeing/attempting to elude a police officer, one count too fast for conditions, three counts stop sign violation, and one count failure to maintain lane.


Brian Antonio Coleman was indicted on two counts first-degree vehicular homicide, one count driving under the influence, and one count reckless driving.


Jerrial Jermaine Deloach was indicted on one count first-degree child cruelty.

In the same case as Deloach, Gwendolyn Shankie Robertson was indicted on one count first-degree child cruelty and one count terroristic threats.


Dominique Antoine Dixon was indicted on one count possession of a firearm by a first offender probationer.


Rakeem Nerezze Rogers was indicted on one count possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.


Octavius Mandel Johnson was indicted on one count aggravated assault (family violence), one count aggravated assault, one count possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, two counts third-degree child cruelty, and one count possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.


Justin Mark Driggers was indicted on one count possession of methamphetamine, one count obstruction of an officer, and one count giving false information to a law enforcement officer.


William Eugene Thompson was indicted on one count first-degree arson and one count disorderly conduct. (He was also sentenced in Emanuel Count Superior Court that day in a separate case. More details can be found in this week’s edition of The Chronicle.)


Phillip Emanuel Carswell was indicted on one count possession of a prohibited item by an inmate.
