Frances Delaine Claxton Sumner, 82

Mrs. Shannon Elaine Johnson Anderson, 52, of Garfield passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at Emanuel medical Center following an extended illness. Memorial Service will be private and at a later date.

Mrs. Anderson was born April 25, 1970, in Metter to Waynard “Trippi” Johnson and Myrtle Lee Kennedy. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James “Jimmy” Anderson, III; grandson, Ethan Cornwell; grandfather, Monroe Johnson. Mrs. Anderson was a lifelong citizen of Garfield. She was a loving mother who had many friends and lots of family. Mrs. Anderson graduated from Emanuel County Institute and went on to attended Georgia Southern University and Ogeechee Technical Institute. She loved Elvis and shopping at Goodwill. Mrs. Anderson was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sons, James Anderson, IV, Aaron Anderson, Logan Anderson, and Benjamin Anderson, all of Garfield; daughters, Cheyanne Cornwell (Dave), Samantha Anderson, and Olivia Anderson, all of Garfield; special family members, Shirley Anderson (Ronnie), Ellen Allen (Ray), Angie Cavanah (Billy); several other family members and many friends.

Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro is in charge of the arrangements.
