Frances Smith, 76

Funeral services for Frances Smith, 76 of Midville, were held Monday, June 14, 2021 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Elder Tommy Roundtree officiating. Interment followed at Sim Warren Cemetery. The family received friends Monday, June 14, 2021 from from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home. She passed away Friday, June 11, 2021 at Emanuel Medical Center following an extended illness.

Mrs. Frances Smith was born December 16, 1944 in Florida to the late T.J. Hadden and L’Nell Hackle Slater. She enjoyed fishing, watching movies, and working on art books. A homemaker and of the Baptist faith, she was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Mary Nell David; and grandson, Randall Jones.

Survivors include sons Leonard Jones (Charlene Horne) of Swainsboro, Matt (Mary) Jones of Nunez, and James (Celita) Jones of Canoochee; daughters Ann (Kenneth) Smith of Canoochee and Marie (Johnny) Bennett of Canoochee; brothers Gene Hadden of Swainsboro and Larry Hadden of Stillmore; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Pallbearers were Craig Shepard, Ridge Holloway, Westley Holloway, Cole Bennett, C.J Jones, James Roberson, Don Hadden, and Joey Johnson.

Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro was in charge of arrangements.
