Frankie Fordham Mikell, 79
Ms. Frankie Fordham Mikell, 79, of Metter passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at Azalea Health & Rehab following an extended illness. Memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 22, 2022, at Guido Gardens in Metter. The family received friends from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at Guido Gardens in Metter.
Ms. Mikell was born June 20, 1943, in Metter to Frank Fordham and Mary Lou Sharpe Fordham. She owned Frankie’s Beauty Salon for 50 years. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, spending time with her neighbors, and enjoyed being around people. Mrs. Mikell was a member of Cedar Street Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Randy Fordham; and half-sister, Frankie Blackburn.
She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Mikell Jones of Rex and Dana Bloodsworth (Jason) of Hammond, LA; brothers, Russell Fordham, Jimmy Fordham, David Fordham and Joey Fordham; sisters, Paulette Carpenter, Peggy Fordham, Connie Fordham and Melody Flynt; grandchildren, Michael Jones, Matthew Jones, Lane Bloodsworth and Noah Bloodsworth; great-granddaughter, Haisley Bloodsworth.
Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro was in charge of the arrangements.
