Franklin Memorial offers festive fun for locals

Franklin Memorial has provided the community with plenty of free, holiday fun in the last few weeks.

Most recently, the library put on Christmas craft sessions for citizens of all ages.

Jessica Appleby got things started with a painting session for children. During this event, attendees painted soft ornaments to take home and hang on their Christmas trees.

Next, Rebekah Black entertained area teens by—quite literally—brightening up the Smith Room. The crafters covered mason jars with “snow” by covering the glass container in glue, rolling it in glitter, and putting a small candle inside for light.

Finally, Terkeitha Moye instructed adult crafters on how to paint a Christmas stocking on canvas.

Franklin Memorial reopened from the holidays Monday, December 27.
