Franklin Memorial puts on paint party

This past Saturday, Franklin Memorial Library held a painting workshop at Vann Community Center.

Jill Carter of Southern Pottery in Statesboro visited town to lead the workshop and provided materials for the art session. With Carter’s help, participating individuals crafted their own hanging welcome sign to take home.

The free workshop was made possible by the generous support of the Mill Creek Foundation, the Georgia Council for the Arts, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
