
Gas prices up from this time last year

According to data on AAA’s website on Tuesday, April 6, Georgia’s gas prices are up compared to what motorists paid at the pump this time last year. According to AAA, the current average across the state is $2.71 per gallon for regular unleaded while that same product averaged $1.76 per gallon last year for a $0.95 increase.
Mid-grade gas costs $0.88 more today than it did lat year, premium is up $0.91, and diesel costs motorists’ pockets $0.35 more today.
Georgia’s highest recorded average price for regular unleaded was on September 15, 2008 when the price reached $4.16. The highest diesel price in Georgia historically dates back to July 17, 2008 at $4.86 per gallon.
