Georgia Football: Previewing the National Championship

By Justin Gray

The Georgia Bulldogs, with their win over Ohio State, is set to play in their second straight National Title, this one against the TCU Horned Frogs.

Let’s compare the teams.

TCU is coming in at 13-1, their only loss coming at the hands of Kansas State in the Big 12 Championship. They have won a lot of close games this season, but have been impressive nonetheless. TCU has been the Cinderella story of College Football this season, coming out of nowhere. Last season, they finished 5-7, not even making a bowl game, and now they are playing for the Championship, truly incredible, but the Dawgs will be looking to end their magical run.

The Dawgs are coming in the heavy favorite, looking to win back-to-back titles. The Dawgs have been nothing short of amazing with a 14-0 record with plenty of big wins. The line for the game has opened at -13.5 Georgia, which is a big line in the National Championship.

TCU took down Michigan in their Semi-final game, 51-48, no one expected them to win that game, but they dominated them for most of the game. Both teams have Heisman finalists at Quarterback in Stetson Bennett and Max Duggan. The TCU offense is one of the best in the country, but their defense has failed them at times this season.

The Dawgs have been dominant on both sides of the ball.

My prediction is the Dawgs will defend their crown with a big win in the Championship.

This game will be held Monday, January 9, 2023, in Los Angeles, California at SoFi Stadium at 7:30 EST. You can watch the game on ESPN.
