Georgia Tech Softball Ready to Take the Field

It’s been a long offseason for the Yellow Jackets softball team and they are itching to get back on the field. They closed last season by getting knocked out by Wisconsin in the Gainesville, Florida Regional at the University of Florida. They finished with a 38-18 record and an outstanding 24-6 home record. They are returning a lot of talent from last year’s team and look poised for an even better run. The schedule and conference is tough as there are four ranked teams within the ACC. The Yellow Jackets aren’t ranked in the D1 Preseason poll, but expect them to be ranked within the first few weeks. They were picked to finish sixth in the ACC and Catcher Emma Kauf was chosen to the All-ACC team. They open up the season with UCONN at home with a double-header on Friday, February 10. This season will be an interesting one to watch for the Yellow Jackets.
