Braxton Evans Hayslip, the now 6-year-old son of Makala Hayslip-Akridge and Dexter Akridge of Stillmore, recently celebrated his birthday with a hunting-themed party just ahead of his birthday on March 1. The gathering was held at his maternal grandparents’ home on February 27 at 3 p.m.
According to the birthday boy’s mother, lots of outdoorsy decor was used inside Brian and Christy Hayslip’s Summertown home. Decorations included camouflage patterns throughout, targets, deer, and hunter figurines.
Some 30 of Braxton’s loved ones showed up to shower him with love and affection for his sixth birthday. Highlighting the entertainment for the afternoon was a huge bounce house equipped with a slide.
Braxton received numerous gifts from his friends and family, including fishing poles, fishing baits, hunting accessories, an RC racecar (that, to Braxton’s delight, travels an impressive 65 miles per hour), clothes, and money.
Melanie Anderson of Summertown prepared the birthday cake, which, of course, matched the party’s hunting theme as well.
