Health district now providing coronavirus testing site

Looking for somewhere to get tested for COVID-19? Head on over to the parking lot of Emanuel County Auditorium behind Dr. Vijitha Prasad’s office. Located off West Church Street off Kite Highway is a COVID-19 testing site set up by the East Central Health District.

The testing site is free to the public and, since its first day on September 3, will be operated every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Advance sign-up is highly encouraged. Please note all COVID-19 testing questions should be directed to the East Central Health District. Emanuel Medical Center will have no information about test results, appointments, or testing wait times.
