Helping the community, one child at a time

Submitted by Swainsboro Kiwanis Club this past Saturday, this is a story that highlights the significance of community.

The local Kiwanians have committed a total of $1,000 to schools across the county. Members of the organization visited Swainsboro Primary, Swainsboro Elementary, Swainsboro Middle, and Swainsboro High recently and donated $250 checks to each institution for the purpose of supporting programs within the schools.

According to President Dianna Wedincamp, these monetary gifts were part of Swainsboro Kiwanis Club’s effort to help the community “one child at a time.”

All of the principals accepting the donations expressed their gratitude for the club’s benevolence and stated the funds would be funneled toward literary programs in their respective schools.
