The newly formed Swainsboro Emanuel Farmers Market (SEFM) is planning to kick off its first-ever market season on June 12, 2021. The market will run for 20 consecutive Saturday mornings from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the pavilion in downtown Swainsboro located behind The Boneyard.
Farmers and ranchers are encouraged to apply to sell their fresh produce, meat and dairy products, eggs, plants, and honey. The arts and crafts market, which will run every other Saturday starting from June 19, will host an array of local artisans selling pottery, jewelry, paintings, and other handmade goods.
Farmers’ markets are essential for the local community! These markets are essential in preserving America’s rural livelihoods and farmland, and they also stimulate the local economy. In addition, farmers’ markets are an easy access hotspot for fresh and nutritious food, which not only supports healthy communities but promotes sustainability as well.
Sponsorships for the SEFM are available! These sponsorships are beneficial to both the market and the business owners who are willing to help out.
