Miss Hannah Howard and Mr. Wade Ellington met at 5 p.m. at Shellman Bluff, a beautiful and quaint coastal location, on Saturday, December 4, 2021 to swap vows and become one in holy matrimony.
The new Mrs. Ellington is a 28-year-old native from Statesboro. Her parents include Keith and Gail Howard of Statesboro, and her grandparents are the late Hub and Willette Newman.
Mr. Ellington is a 29-year-old from Swainsboro. His parents include Jay Ellington of Charlotte, North Carolina and Cheryl Ellington of Swainsboro. He is the grandson of the late J.W Hooks and Betty Lou Hooks, Phil and Barbra Ellington, and Kay Ellington.
Officiating the Ellingtons’ ceremony was Robert Warren.
The wedding party was small and intimate, made only of the couple’s daughter, Emmie Grace Ellington. She held flowers and brought her parents’ wedding rings to the alter with her as she walked out with her mother as the 9-month-old’s proud father stood in wait.
The new Mr. and Mrs. swapped vows and commenced to dedicate their child to the Lord, then exited the ceremony site as a family of three.
For her special day, Mrs. Ellington chose a long-sleeved lace and satin ball gown. Her groom donned a green blazer paired with Wrangler jeans and ostrich boots.
Dockside Seafood, a renowned eating establishment in Shellman Bluff, provided a low country boil for attendees. Cherry Carruth crafted a charcuterie board to complement the meal.
Stephanie Williams prepared both the wedding and groom’s cakes. The former was a two-tier vanilla confection while the latter was a vanilla sweet featuring the Atlanta Braves logo.
Barry Beasley crafted the flowers used throughout the occasion.
The Ellingtons went on to honeymoon at Disney World in Orlando, Florida. They are now enjoying married life, residing in Statesboro.
With their swapping of vows, the bride and groom reached the pinnacle of their courtship. The two began dating in 2019, became engaged in August 2020, and welcomed Emmie in March 2021.
