A week of fair fun is coming back to Swainsboro! The Swainsboro Jaycees have organized their 2021 Southeast Georgia Jaycee Fair for next week, October 19-23, so go ahead and clear your plans. Gates will open at 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and at noon on Saturday.
Entry fee for adults will be $5 while the entry fee for kids will be cheaper at $3 each. (Children who do not exceed a specified height at the gate will be permitted free.)
Lisko Family Midway Amusement will be on hand all week running a plethora of carnival rides. Nightly wristbands will be available for $20 each, allowing for unlimited rides.
There will also be games on the premises.
Additionally, the haunted house will make its return. Fair-goers can go through this attraction for $5 per turn or pass through once free with a ride wristband. The haunted house will begin at 8 p.m. each night.
The Aussie Kingdom will be set up throughout the duration of the fair. This show-and-educate program will take visitors on a “magical journey through the Australian Outback.”
As always, 4-H competitions will be ongoing, and there will be vendors on hand for patrons to get their fair food fix.
The Jaycees were fortunate to be able to keep the fair going last year in light of coronavirus, and they are equally pleased to bring the event back to Swainsboro to provide wholesome, family fun right here at home. Make plans today to join them next week!
