Jerry Lynn Hooks, 64

Graveside services for Jerry Lynn Hooks, 64 of Twin City, were held Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Eastbrook Cemetery and Mausoleum with Mr. Cameron Kennison officiating. The family received friends Tuesday November 16, 2021 from 12 to 1:30 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home. He passed away Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Wrightsville Manor following an extended illness.


Mr. Jerry Lynn Hooks was born November 12, 1957 in Atlanta to the late Roy Hooks and Mearlene Joyner Hooks. He drove a taxi in Atlanta before moving to Emanuel County in 2002. He also worked in the plumbing business for 12 years. Mr. Hooks enjoyed fishing, loved racing cars, and used to enjoy his cold beer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Hooks, and sister, Peggy Sue Hooks.


Survivors include his brothers, Nigel Hooks (Rose) of Twin City, Paul Hooks (Sarah) of Swainsboro, and David Hooks (Karen) of Jacksonville, Florida; and sisters, Angie Sadderfield (Jim) of Covington, Bonnie Dowis (Ray) of north Georgia, and JoAnn Pilkerton (Tom) of East Point.


Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro was in charge of arrangements.
