Jesus Saves closer to moving into new home

Pastor Brad McKenzie reveals exciting news for the future of Jesus Saves Church: hopefully, construction on the new build situated on Highway 56 North will be completed in time for Easter Sunday.

This announcement comes after months of hard work. The fruits of that labor are beginning to be visible as the exterior of the church’s future home is now complete. Inside framing will begin soon.

“We are hopeful to be in by Easter and have service there,” McKenzie said. “God has given us $128,219.72 in less than a year, and He used you to do it and make this progress possible.”

Jesus Saves began taking donations and raising money for the new 4,800-square-foot location back in February 2021.

“All of this has come together in just 11 months, thanks to the Lord,” he continued. Yet, there’s still a ways to go—but the folks of Jesus Saves are confident God will continue to pave the way for them.

“Even though we’ve raised $128,000, we still have a long way to go to get to our original goal of $250,000. We still believe God is going to send the needed funds. He got us this far.”

For anyone in the community interested in donating to the project, there are a variety of ways to do so.

According to McKenzie, the church has established three different digital donation channels but will accept traditional donations via mail as well. Of course, donations may be handed off in person to any church member, too.

To reach Jesus Saves digitally, you can use PayPal (jesussaveschurchswainsboro@gmail.com), Venmo (@jesussaveschurchswainsboro), or Cash App ($jesussaveschurch).

To send Jesus Saves mail, use address P.O. Box 885, Swainsboro, GA 30401.

In the meantime, feel free to ride by the new build and see for yourself what’s to come for Jesus Saves.

“We’re just so thankful for the community’s giving heart. This is our church, yes, but it’s really the Lord’s. We want to share this place, just like we try to share His love with others. We’re proud of the progress we’re making at the new location, and we’re excited to be able to move in during the next few months. If you feel led to give, we would appreciate it—but if you’re just looking for somewhere to experience God’s love and hear about Jesus Christ, our doors are open always.”

Jesus Saves, for now, continues to meet every week at 410 West Main Street beginning with Sunday school at 10 a.m. with morning worship following at 11.
