Memorial services for Jimmy F. Clemens, 74 of Garfield, will be held privately at a later date. He died Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Cedar Plantation in Metter.
Mr. Jimmy F. Clemens was born February 15, 1947 in Gladewater, Texas to Doris Dees Clemens and the late Harold Eugene Clemens. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. Mr. Clemens was a dedicated member of Garfield Baptist Church, serving as Sunday school director and deacon for many years. Mr. Clemens was also a member of Garfield Volunteer Fire Department for more than 30 years and enjoyed camping and fishing with family and extended family (friends who became family). He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Brenda Toole Clemens of Garfield; sons, David Carroll Clemens (Victoria) and Dane Eugene Clemens (Diana McKinley), all of Garfield; mother, Doris Dees Clemens of Garfield; sister, Ruth Ann Maxwell of Swainsboro; brother, Noel Eugene Clemens of Pampa, Texas; and grandchildren, AnnaKade Clemens, Briley Brooke Clemens, Brayden Si Clemens, and Tinley Brenna Clemens.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contribution be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 201 Television Circle, Savannah, GA 31406.
