Kiwanis Club holds weekly meeting

Swainsboro Kiwanis Club held one of its weekly meeting last Tuesday, April 12, at Rustic Grill at 7 p.m. with President Dianna Wedincamp presiding.

Twenty-six attendees, including one guest, Melaone Ward, heard from guest presenter Tracy Mason.

In keeping with the upcoming Easter holiday, the group also filled out Easter trivia sheets during the meeting. Cheryl Goodman, Cayla Scarboro, and Dess Smith III tied for first place.

Prior to adjournment, President Wedincamp reminded all members that the club’s May 17 meeting would prompt a visit from Division 17 Lieutenant Governor Jeanette LaFond. She will be on hand at that time to present district and division Kiwanis awards.

In other meeting news:

• Gary Couse won the sweet cream pound cake prepared by Petite Garrett and donated by Ginny Smith, and Cassie McIntyre won the pizza donated by Domino’s.
