Let us pray: Community prayer list

Matthew 18:20 says, “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them” (NIV). We here at The Crossroads Chronicle want to create a community prayer list for both prayer recipients and prayer leaders.

If you would like to contribute to this list, please email halei@thecrossroadschronicle.com. There is no fee. Churches, if you would like to supply your prayer list, please feel free to do so. However, please note this will be a comprehensive running list not broken down by church and The Chronicle will only list names one time. This will be a running list, meaning names will not be removed until a request to do so has been submitted.

There will be a long-term list and a short-term list. The reason for a person’s inclusion on the list will not be included; only a person’s name will be listed. In addition, your contribution to this list doesn’t have to be name-specific; for example, if you wish to simply pray for the homeless or our country’s veterans, you may submit via email a request to add “the homeless” or “veterans” to the list. Overall, The Chronicle aims for this community prayer list will look much like a prayer list you’d find on the back of a church bulletin.

While we realize not everyone is prayerful, we hope this list becomes a one-stop place for prayerful people to find out who in our community and elsewhere need and want prayers. In transparency, this will be an undertaking that will need assistance in executing, and there will probably be a learning curve, so you might see some changes to this plan over time. For now, if you’d like to help, we encourage you to send your submissions to the email address above in a Word document. To avoid the potential misspelling of names on The Chronicle’s behalf, we ask no handwritten prayer requests be turned in. For questions or more information, give our office a call at 478-331-7251.
