Local library teaches craft participants to make slime

Crafting sessions at Franklin Memorial Library got slimey last week! Participants used equal parts liquid glue, water, and a water-borax solution to make colorful slimes.

If you’re interested in making slime yourself at home, here’s how. Add the food coloring to the liquid glue and stir. Next, add the water and stir, then slowly add the water-borax solution. (Use about 1 teaspoon of borax per cup water.) You should notice an immediate chemical reaction as the watery glue turns to slime. For a little extra sparkle, add glitter to your slimes.

The library’s next crafting session will teach participants how to create clay animal magnets. For more information about this program and others, call Franklin Memorial at 478-237-7791.
