Men in separate Stillmore crimes among defendants who will move to trial following indictment


An Emanuel County grand jury indicted 10 individuals as part of the January 2022 term. During the latest grand jury convention, the district attorney’s office presented seven bills of indictments for consideration, and the grand jurors returned true bills for all cases.


Dakota Shaman Sutton was indicted on one count malice murder, one count felony murder, one count aggravated assault, one count exploitation and intimidation of a disabled adult, elderly person, or resident, and one count possession of a knife during the commission of a crime.


Sutton’s case dates back to November 2021 when he allegedly murdered a Stillmore man, Larry Hadden, in his home by stabbing.


Kale Davar Livington was indicted on two counts first-degree vehicular homicide, one count driving under the influence of drugs, one count reckless driving, and one count serious injury by vehicle.


Cassie Lynn Beckum was indicted on one count first-degree vehicular homicide, one count driving under the influence of alcohol, one count no proof of insurance, one count failure to maintain lane, one count open container violation, and one count seatbelt violation.


Timothy Lee Jones was indicted on one count first-degree vehicular homicide, one count driving under the influence, one count failure to maintain lane, and one count seatbelt violation.


Desi Hyman Jackson was indicted on one count armed robbery, one count aggravated assault, two counts possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, two counts aggravated assault on a peace officer, two counts theft by receiving stolen property, one count reckless driving, one count possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, one count fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, and one count first-degree criminal property damage.


Jackson is the defendant in an incident that took place last September in Stillmore. Allegedly, he robbed the Marathon there at gunpoint, fled the scene, and fired shots at a police officer’s car while being chased, causing damage.


John Albert Fleming was indicted on two counts sale of methamphetamine.


Lavana Omega McCoy was indicted on one count sale of methamphetamine.


Javier Alegria was indicted on eight counts child molestation, four counts enticing a child for indecent purposes, and one count aggravated sexual battery.
