Midville First will perform Easter play in three weeks

Mark your calendars for March 20. Midville Baptist Church will present a “moving program” centered around a cast of people whose lives were impacted by the presence of Christ. The show will begin at 6 p.m. with refreshments to follow.

Leesa Holloway gives a small preview about the dramatic play. According to her, the presentation will tell the story of four people who knew Jesus or were associated with Him during His life at and the time of His death. Each of these persons will tell what he or she knew about Jesus and how He, in turn, changed their lives.

Character witnesses will include Simon Peter ,played by Holt Sapp; Mary Magdalene, performed by Mallorie Watson; Pontius Pilate, represented by Charles Warinner; and the Centurion, characterized by Christopher Ramey.

The church’s adult choir will sing Easter-themed songs at different intervals throughout the play.

The public is invited to attend. The play aims to prepare believers for the upcoming Easter holiday and will help everyone focus on Christ’s resurrection this season. Punch and cookies will be served after the play for a time of fellowship.
