Mrs. Bunnie Elizabeth Williford, 87

Mrs. Bunnie Elizabeth Williford, 87, of Swainsboro, GA, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Emanuel Medical Center Nursing Home. Graveside services were held on Monday, March 20, 2023, at 3 p.m. at Elam Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jim Rawls officiating. The family received friends at the funeral home on Monday, March 20, 2023, from 12 to 2 p.m.

Mrs. Williford was born April 28, 1935, in Portal, Bulloch County, GA to the late Joseph Curtis and Lucille Gay Griffith. She was retired from Emanuel Medical Center Nursing Home as an LPN. She enjoyed fellowshipping with family and friends. Mrs. Williford loved reading, studying her bible and attending church at Garden of Prayer. In her spare time she enjoyed doing word puzzles, needle work, and gardening.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Tom Williford, Jr.

Survivors include daughters, Barbara Payne (Marty) of Hiawassee, GA and Krista Beasley (Paul) of Twin City, GA; sons, Steve Byrd (Linda) of Pinellas Park, FL and Ricky Byrd (Terry) of Carlton, GA; sister, Melissa Ryles (Richard) of Hazelhurst, GA; brother, Curtis Griffith (Joyce) of Metter, GA; step-daughters, Ellen Wilkerson, Cathy Flanders, Joan Foskey, and Patsy Sherrod; step-sons, Edward Williford, Donnie Williford, and Scott Williford; grandchildren, Tiffany Payne, Sierra Peebles, Tommy Beasley, Michelle Byrd, Matthew Bryd, Joel Byrd, Emily Pulliam, Sarah Groscop, Benjamin Baye, Brian Baye, Brandon Baye, and Casey Byrd; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Pallbearers were Lance Griffith, Chris Griffith, Mike Gay, Brian Baye, Benjamin Baye, and Wesley Peebles.

Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors was in charge of arrangements.
