Nine sentenced in Superior Court

The Emanuel County Superior Court convened last week to continue addressing cases. By the end of the session, eight men and one woman were sentenced.

Keldrin Marquann Akins aka Rico Blackwell negotiated Alford guilty pleas on the charges of terroristic threats and false information to law enforcement. He was sentenced to a total of 5 years with the first year to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation, and he was issued a fine of $50.

John Adam Music negotiated Alford guilty pleas on the charges of felony driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license, and failure to maintain his lane. He was sentenced to 5 years to be served on probation and was issued a fine of $1,000.

Barry Mandrelle Davis negotiated a guilty plea on the charges of tampering with evidence. He was sentenced to 3 years to be served as determined by the custodian.

Georgiana Nicole Stephens negotiated guilty pleas on the charges of possession of methamphetamines and possession of a drug-related object. He was sentenced to a total of 15 years with the first five years to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation. He was issued a fine of $50.

James O. Phillips negotiated Alford-guilty pleas on the charges of two counts of financial card fraud transaction. He was sentenced to 4 years to be served on probation and was issued a fine of $50.

Joseph Seth Schrader negotiated guilty pleas on the charges of burglary in second degree and financial transaction card theft. He was sentenced to 8 years with the first five to be served in confinement and the rest to be served on probation. He was issued a fine of $50.

Joseph Seth Schrader negotiated guilty pleas on the charges of two counts of possession of methamphetamines and two counts of possession of a controlled substance. He was sentenced to 6 years to be served as determined by the custodian.

Joseph Seth Schrader negotiated Alford guilty pleas on the charges of possession of methamphetamines with intent to distribute, possession of a schedule IV controlled substance, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and possession of drug -related objects. He was sentenced to 35 years with the first five to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation. He was issued a fine of $50.

Joseph Seth Schrader negotiated Alford guilty pleas on the charges of battery and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was sentenced to 10 years with the first six to be served in confinement and the rest to be served on probation.

Brandon Mendieta negotiated Alford guilty pleas on the charges of two counts of possession of methamphetamines with intent to distribute, possession of a drug-related object, and criminal trespass. He was sentenced to 30 years with the first five years to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation. He was issued a fine of $1,000.

Brandon Mendieta negotiated Alford guilty pleas on the charges of possession of marijuana and possession of a schedule II controlled substance. He was sentenced to a total of 10 years with the first five years to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation. He was issued a fine of $1,000.

Corenthius Wilcher negotiated guilty pleas on the charges of robbery, burglary, aggravated assault, and stalking. He was sentenced to 20 years with the first 10 years to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation. He was issued a fine of $100.

Corenthius Wilcher negotiated guilty pleas on the charges of theft by taking, obstruction of an officer, giving false information to an officer, driving on a suspended license, and improper headlights. He was sentenced to 5 years to be served as determined by the custodian and 12 months probation.

Rafael Lamont Denson negotiated guilty pleas on the charges of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a scheduleII controlled substance, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a drug-related object. He was sentenced to a total of 30 years with the first 10 years to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation. He was issued a fine of $50.

Rafael Lamont Denson negotiated guilty pleas on the charges of obstruction, criminal trespass, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was sentenced to 12 years probation.
