Super Bowl LVII is Set!

By Justin Gray

It’s that time again, the Super Bowl is upon us. For football fans it’s the best Sunday of the year. Families and friends throw Super Bowl parties, eat food, and enjoy football from the best of the best. This year will be Super Bowl LVII (57) and the Kansas City Chiefs will be taking on the Philadelphia Eagles in Phoenix, Arizona at State Farm Stadium. These two teams have had very similar seasons and are both number one seeds with the Chiefs in the AFC and the Eagles in the NFC.

The Eagles finished the season 14-3 and are now 16-3. They started the season winning the first 11 games and haven’t really slowed down all season. They took down the New York Giants in the Divisional round 38-7, and then beat the San Francisco 49ers in similar fashion in the NFC Championship, 31-7. They are led by talented dual-threat Quarterback Jalen Hurts and a stud receiving core led by A.J. Brown and Devonta Smith. Their defense hasn’t been tested much at all this season so they are very talented both ways.

The Kansas City Chiefs also finished with a 14-3 record and are 16-3 as well. They outlasted the Jacksonville Jaguars in the Divisional round, 27-20, and then got revenge on the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Championship, 23-20. They are led by the best Quarterback in the league Patrick Mahomes as well as one of the best Tight Ends to ever play in Travis Kelce. They have been known as the league’s best offense for the past five years now. The Chiefs are no stranger to the “big game” as this will be their third in the last six years, winning Super Bowl LIV (54). The Chiefs lost a ton in the offseason and many thought they wouldn’t be as good as years past, but they have been even better.

This game is primed to be an amazing matchup of two really talented teams. Another storyline in the game is that two brothers will play against one another. Travis Kelce (Chiefs) and Jason Kelce (Eagles). Both brothers will likely beco,e Hall of Famers. This will be the first ever pair of brothers to play against one another in the Super Bowl as players. So many storylines and matchups, this game is going to be one to remember.
