Emanuel County Superior Court convened last week to address two felony cases with one one to be served in confinement and probation and one to be served on probation.
Lonnie Dewitt Wood negotiated a guilty plea on theft by receiving stolen property, possession of methamphetamine, giving false information, and driving with a suspended license. Wood was sentenced to ten years of probation and fined $500. Wood also negotiated a guilty plea on speeding and was fined $100.
Mindy Michelle Howard negotiated a guilty plea on possession of methamphetamine and two counts of possession of schedule IV controlled substance. Howard as a repeat offender was sentenced to thirty years with the first three years to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation.
